Just awesome Mark. Thank You for the wisdom and for the challenge. Your perspective is so helpful and is sure to create lasting memoires. I don't venture out as much as I would like to with my current work schedule and all, , but I couldn't agree more with you that when I do... amazing things happen!! Here's to the adventure of the "New".... although I love the familiar like Target Field tomorrow for the Twins opener too! :)
SO TRUE! I love traveling and have found it broadens my perspective about so many things in so many ways. Ray & I have made friends along the way, had interesting conversations, learned about the stories behind things, and had a chance to learn to love others more expansively. Difficulties while traveling have taught me I can figure things out (even in a language I don’t know), overcome adversity, and yes, “go with the flow” (though I’m not as good at that - yet 😆).
Totally agree with you Mark. Traveling and meeting new people is the bomb! In this past year I decided to go on a trip I longed dreamed about. I went to Ireland, my grandmother's home of origin. It was wonderful and a great adventure. I met second cousins who I had never met and stayed at their bnb. I stayed in Belfast for 2 days before I met up with my tour group. I learned so much about the Irish troubles. Then I went to Mexico City over Thanksgiving. It is such a cool city. Much larger than New York. I went with my niece who is a devout Catholic. We went to see Our Lady of Guadalupe cathedral. It was beautiful. Put it on your bucket list!
