In this first chapter (of five) I talk a bit about my upbringing, the emotional and spiritual weight of it all...in only six minutes! This first chapter talks about how religion shaped me--and honestly, some of it was not so great.

It's not super fun to share difficult parts of my life—but part of telling the painful parts is to help other people know that they aren't alone in their own struggles. And that there's hope... that things can get better.

My faith has taken quite a beating over the years...but I still want to hang on to it.
