I’ve got a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
I’m committed to being an artist that continually unleashes love and light out into the world, regardless of what I get out of it.
As you probably know, these are challenging days to be an independent musician - or an artist of any kind, really. A musical career isn’t an inexpensive one to run, and for a totally independent artist and creator like myself, every cost - whether that’s artwork, recording, marketing, or touring - comes directly out of my own pocket rather than those of a major record label or corporation.
But check this out: I’ve discovered a creative way for us to share the journey that I’m on, and one that will also give you a chance to support me in whatever way is possible for you. It’s a courageous continuation of my Marcus Royce launch this past fall and I’m incredibly excited to share it with you.
In the olden days we called it a “fan club”, but I hope this is something considerably more than that. By utilizing all the new kinds of technology available and creating different levels of memberships, we are offering some fun, engaging ways to come together, no matter your budget. Wanna have dinner with me (virtually) or join a game night or book club with me and others around the world? Let’s do it!
So, I’d love for you to check it out and sign up - for FREE! By signing up, you’ll get access to some new writings and pieces of art from myself that’ll never be available anywhere else. Take a peek around and see which level you could imagine yourself being a part of. But regardless, it’s completely free to sign up and become a part of the community.
FYI: I’m absolutely going to continue writing these weekly Crazy Hope newsletters and my daily Live Hope Minute emails… Because I have to. Doing these projects helps me so much, and I am thoroughly grateful for how many people tell me they’re benefitting as well.
I’m excited for you all to join me on this next stage of my journey and I can’t wait to share more with you.
Did you watch the GRAMMYS Sunday night?
I absolutely loved the show. The "Fast Car" duet was incredible and it felt like Luke Combs was so honoring to Tracy Chapman. Joni Mitchell's performance of "Both Sides Now" broke me...wow, the song felt a bit like what I hope heaven is like. I also am a big fan of huge pop production numbers like how Dua Lipa opened the show. Miley Cyrus's pure joy & rockstar performance was infectious. But the best part for me was watching the "pre-telecast"--the three or so hours prior to the telecast where they hand out about 80 awards lickety-split. This is where the true diversity of music was represented—artists from all over the world, in every genre you can imagine (including best audiobook!).
I was super inspired by so many things people said. Music truly is the universal language. It's also the language of love and hope, that our world so desperately needs right now. I am committed to creating and sharing whatever I can, with whoever will listen, in order to keep bringing some light and love to this world. I hope you'll join me.
