THIS FRIDAY (October 4th) I’m releasing a new single called “Walk On the Water” - you’ll be able to hear it on all the music streaming platforms, including YouTube. Check out a preview clip by clicking on the video above!
“Walk on the Water” is about a desire to move from the ordinary into the extraordinary. It’s having a belief that there’s more to life than just day-to-day drudgery.
So How Do You Walk On The Water?
Your answer will be unique to you, I’m sure. But the first step is choosing to get out of the boat.
Getting out of the boat requires a ton of courage.
The song talks about how doubts and struggles can hold us back from being brave. But finally getting tired of it all, believing there’s more to life than just the daily rowing, can be the very launching pad into a life of miracles.
This song is a continuation of all the themes I’ve been talking about for a year now. About not letting fear determine what your life looks like. About not letting worry have a stronghold on you. It’s a song about hope. This song is about realizing you can’t do life on your own—that we all need help. This song is about being BRAVE.
I’ve had so many valuable people come into my life who have continually helped me climb out of my own boat. These are people who have literally kept me afloat when the waves seemed to be just too much.
Do you have someone who could help you climb out of the boat? Do you have someone in your life who believes in you, perhaps even more than yourself?
I hope you love the song…and that maybe, just maybe, it makes you dance around the room a little bit.
Last week, I wrote about my relationship WITH and WITHOUT alcohol— check it out here. And I’m grateful for comments and private messages that were sent my way. My hope was that by being honest, someone else might be allowed to be honest with themselves.
I have to admit, it was a little tricky writing something like that because people hear the word “sobriety” and assume you’ve had a horrible problem and are in need of great help. That’s not the case for me, but wanted to share my love of sobriety with the hopes of encouraging someone else who might not think it’s a possibility for them.
Love you
